Frequently asked questions
Therapy is an opportunity to explore and process difficulties related to behaviours, thoughts, feelings, emotions, memories and relationships. It is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies. It involves a relationship between you and a trained Licensed Counselling Therapist who has the desire and willingness to help you accomplish your individual goals.
Stephanie’s office is a safe, trauma-informed space that allows you to talk, explore your emotions, thoughts, and feelings. Therapy allows you to dig deeper, reframe your thinking and/or behaviours, improve your relationships, and your relationship to yourself. It allows you to place value on yourself, so you can show up better and as your most authentic self.
Clients are expected to notify if they will be late to an appointment. We also offer the ability to change your session to phone/virtual should you be unable to attend in person, for any reason.
If you cannot attend your appointment, you are to notify Stephanie Coady Counselling Therapy/East Coast Chiropractic as soon as possible by emailing or calling our front desk - (506) 454-2004 or sayhello@eastcoastchiropractic.ca.
If you do not provide notification within 24 hours or fail to show for your scheduled appointment time, you will be charged a full session rate.
All past outstanding balances must be paid before booking a new appointment. This includes past attended sessions and late cancellations/no-show fees. Stephanie Coady Counselling Therapy/East Coast Chiropractic will send appointment reminders for your session, however, it is your responsibility to keep track of your appointments.
Yes, I do for residents of New Brunswick. Virtual Sessions are done through Jane telehealth. Jane is recommended as it meets the criteria laid out in privacy guidelines from PHIPAA and PIPEDA. Jane's online platform is secure (encrypted) video conferencing system and virtually impossible for anyone to intercept and decrypt the video and/or audio transmission between two people.
Stephanie Coady Counselling Therapy is not available on an urgent or emergency basis. If a client is in distress, in life-threatening need, or concerned about their safety or the safety of others, they are required to contact the appropriate authorities.
